  season

• Discuss interesting epidemiologic trends of seasonal influenza and RSV 
• Explain rationale for year-round viral respiratory illness surveillance


Outbreak of School-Associated Influenza in Northeastern Oklahoma: Laurence Burnsed, M.P.H., Director of Communicable Disease Division, OSDH

    

• Describe a public health response to an outbreak of influenza in northeastern
  Oklahoma, 2007
     o Outbreak notification and case finding at local medical clinics
     o Coordination of immunization outreach with county health departments,
        local healthcare providers, schools and media
